The main attractions of San Diego are the lively nightlife and incredible imported wildlife. People say come to San Diego to stay for a few nights and end up settling there.
The great centre of attraction for the tourists is the San Diego zoo. It is considered as the finest zoo of the country but the Washington National Zoo used to argue for it. The famous thing about San Diego zoo is that it is divided into ten bioclimatic zones which allow the travelers to explore the shimmering rain forest and the arctic tundra. It has the Koala and the Panda.
The gardens that are around the San Diego zoo consists of about fifteen museums which has a collection of all subjects like science, history and art. It has a good collection of historical buildings. The Cowles Mountain Trail is about thousand feet tall offering a best view of the city. This interesting and attractive tourist attraction is about eight miles from the city. Since the trail is over crowded during week ends it is better to visit the place during week days.
The other main attraction of San Diego is Mission Bay Park which highlights the natural beauty of the area and semi exotic wild life. It covers about 27 miles of sea shore and a few marinas. The indigenous birds preserved here is the famous attraction of the place.
Coronado Island is famous for the beaches. It is connected to San Diego by a very long highway with a tiny isthmus above. Gondola tour takes the passengers across the south stretch of island where they can see the small cays and the Hotel Del Coronado which is the most interesting San Diego attraction for the visitors. The Hotel has been visited by most of the Hollywood stars and traveling dignitaries and people who wish to spend a lot of money as it is expensive.
Torrey Pines State Reserve is a best place to be visited by birdwatchers and hikers. The park has got its name due to the presence of sandy beach, plethora of trails, miles of trees. Torrey Pines makes the tourists forget that they are really in the city.
