Hollywood CA is the dwelling place to historic places like the big Hollywood
sign and is situated to the west of downtown Los Angeles. In 1911 the
first movie was opened in Hollywood and later after twelve years. The
new Hollywood residential area was announced and the sign erected. Driving
to the 50 foot sign no land could be seen but it is still one of the most
special areas to live in Los Angeles. Although 4000 of its light bulbs
have been lost it is still considered as an important part of history
of Hollywood.
Down the eccentric homes is the scenic drive all the way along the hills,
the Hollywood Boulevard. It attracts all the tourists who come on California
vacation. While walking along, the tourists can see the 18 bronze blocks
of stars and the names of celebrities embedded in the cement side walks
of Hollywood Boulevard. Wilshire Boulevard and Rodeo Drive are the two
famous shopping areas in Los Angeles. The big screen magic and nostalgia
of the Hollywood CA past and present can be seen there. The Hollywood
Entertainment Museum has the captain’s chair from the original starship
Enterprise. The Chinnese Theatre is an interesting place which should
be included in the tour. The big screen stars have their hand prints impressed
and names in the side walk in front of it and they visit this theater
for movie premiers as they feel it is lucky.
Hollywood tours main attractions are Hollywood Boulevard, Mann’s Chinese
Theater and the famous sign. Many companies arrange Hollywood tours and
give an enriching experience.
Since Los Angeles is a huge City it takes a week to explore it. Hollywood
is the best place to stay since it is adjacent to downtown and all the
main attractions including movies. Hollywood vacation will turn out to
be interesting. Magic Castle which is away from the Franklin Avenue traffic
is a cheap hotel giving comfortable accommodation. Since it used to be
an apartment before all the rooms are attached to a courtyard facing a
pool and the rent is also reasonable. Most of the Hollywood hotels are
mostly cheap so the tourists need not spend a lot of money on accommodation.
In 2002 the Hollywood Boulevard was renovated and given a facelift and
the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel was built. The windows of this hotel face
the city and Hollywood sign. The Annual Academy Awards Ceremony takes
place in the Kodak Theatre. The people who visit Hollywood on Hollywood
vacation can imagine themselves as star and have a view of the Hollywood
Hills and imagine to have the world at their feet. Every visitor can have
a lovely time in Hollywood vacation along with their family.
