La Brea Tar Pits is the natural wonder of California, and it is very rare
to see such a natural attraction. California has attractions of huge and
small and of natural and artificial ones. The Tar Pits are situated in the
Ranch La Brea of the business city of Los Angeles and in this place more
than millions of fossils have been taken, and not only this but the a animals
of long life such as the wooly Mammoth is used to wander the Los Angeles
Basin. You could also have the sight of the ice age animal’s fossils, which
is almost 10,000 to 40,000years old; a good example for this is saber tooth
Tiger.
The documentation in relation to the Tar Pits is from the year 1769 and
the journey is passing all the way through the area which is at present
called as the Hancock Park and this documentation is the first one.
The team from the Page Museum is still unearthing lots of fossils from the
La Brea Tar Pits, and they are giving the recovery of hundreds of species
of plants and animals, and from insects to rodents as an article, this helps
them to be aware of, and gather proof regarding the climate of Los Angeles
at the close of the last Ice Age. Giant Mastodon with a huge tusks and a
woolly Mammoth were on display in the museum.
